Important game to mention about took place in Podgorica. Eighth ranked MontenegrinDerby (5-15) saved a 3-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Slovenian Ilirija (7-14) 76-73 on Thursday evening. Derby brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Ilirija was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian point guard Matic Rebec (183-1995, agency: SLN) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Bosnian-Croatian swingman Mateo Dreznjak (195-1999) who added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Serbian center Boban Marjanovic (224-1988) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and forward Tim Tomazic (199-1999) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Derby maintains eighth position with 5-15 record. Ilirija at the other side dropped to the seventh place with 14 games lost.
